Independence Day Celebration

National Service Scheme (NSS), IIT Kharagpur members actively take part in Independence Day function of the institute. In the build-up of this, we extend our service in the rehearsals conducted by local school children in the function venue. On function day, we arrive little early and in formal white shirt and black trouser. Every unit carries few posters on patriotic theme. We arrange chairs after cleaning and see that all the guests feel comfortable. A newsletter with an editorial on significance of the occasion is distributed to all. We serve snacks to school children who participate in the function.

Independence Day function has always been special to imbibe in us the spirit of sacrifice and service. Here are few pictures on our participation in the event.
