Annual Blood Donation Camp

NSS, IIT Kharagpur successfully organized the Annual Blood Donation Camp in association with Kharagpur Blood Donors' Organization on April 5, 2014. The blood bank of NRS Medical College and Hospitals collected around 125 Units blood. Most of the donors were the NSS Volunteers, and faculty members of the institute. The B C Roy Technology Hospitals facilitated the NSS to conduct it smoothly. The PMO, Dr. B Mishra helped our Program officers to contact with KVBDO and Dr. S Dheebar and Dr. A Ghosh and Chief Nurse extended their supports throughout the day.

The camp started at 11:00 AM in the morning and continued till 3:30 PM. Eight NSS volunteers from central team and fifteen volunteers from Unit 11 worked together for the mission. Volunteers were taking care of registration desk, providing food packets with beverage to the donors after donating blood.
