Annual Camp 2014: Part VII

Day 07 was the concluding day. The first session completed the remaining road-building, bush-cleaning, road-widening work. Cleaning of camp site and village surrounding started the previous day and continued. Young students met villagers and collected their feedback. It was very positive. We heard the same in the concluding session when local community leader also spoke about the experience of village community as a whole. One NSS volunteer translated the Bengali speech to Hindi. The second session of this day had first-aid training. In this, physician and support staff from B C Roy Hospital of IIT Kharagpur educated the campers. Noteworthy performances of many campers were highlighted in the valedictory session. We also took a short journey on a two-wheeler covering some of the stretches where the road-building work was done as a part of camp activities.
