Annual Camp 2014 - Part III

The third day of the camp had road building / widening work peaking up, and completion of work in many a stretches. We thank Changual gram panchayat for providing road-building materials. Local people not only helped, but also guided on occasions our inexperienced student volunteers. Some villagers were worried if their MGNREGA work opportunity will suffer, now that IIT Kharagpur students are doing labour intensive jobs like this. We took them into confidence and they were happy to have this Shramdaan in their villages. In some places, the road-building required placement of rain pipes to make passage of waters during heavy shower and monsoon time. In the second half, we had fun time where inter-group tug-of-water competition took place. Some pictures and two short videos from this day are placed next.
