Republic Day and Oncology Workshop at Upar Kenthia

 NSS, IIT Kharagpur celebrated the Republic Day on January 26, 2016 by participating in the program organized by IIT Kharagpur at Jnan Ghosh Stadium.  Unit 7 volunteers facilitated the celebration by arranging refreshments for participating school children.

  NSS also organized a workshop for the residents of Changual Anchal at Upar Kenthia village in collaboration with St John Ambulance Brigade, Kharagpur.  Dr Moujhuri Nandi elucidated the issues related to cancer to 25 village women and 10 male participants at Upar Kenthia.  NSS wanted to put on the records their appreciation for the help received from Mr Manas Bankura, Teacher-in-charge, Kenthia Prathamik Vidyalaya and Mr Sukumar Roy, Managing Director, KE Technical Textiles, Kharagpur, without which the workshop would not have been possible.  Both Mr Bankura and Mr Roy attended the workshop along with several Program Officers and students of NSS.
