Medical Health Camp by Unit 6, NSS IIT Kharagpur

In the beginning of the year 2014, Unit 6 of NSS, IIT Kharagpur organized a medical health camp at Gholgoria Primary School. Approximately 180 villagers from different villages like Gholgoria, Salbony, Ayjothagarh, Gopali were benefited through this medical camp. The medical camp started at 11 A.M and continued till 2 P.M on January 19, 2014. Dr. P. K Shannigrahi (general medicine), Dr. Sonali Dhibar (gynecology), Dr. Mahashweta Chowdhuri (pediatrician), Dr. Debajyoti Ghosh from B. C. Roy Technology Hospital and Dr. Pankaj Chatrala and Dr. Nandish Purli from SMST , IIT Kharagpur attended the Gholgoria medical camp.

An optometrist, Dr. Moumita Sarkar, came from outside to visit the camp and treated the villagers of different age group.  Five cartons of sample medicines were donated for the medical camp by the doctors of B. C. Roy Technology Hospital, IIT Kharagpur. NSS program coordinator, Prof. Debasis Roy, and Dean UG student, Prof. Rajendra Singh, spent some time in the camp to encourage the volunteers and advised them.
