The sports have brought in the children a lot of enthusiasm, strength, sportsmanship and a lot of energy in the tender and young. It filled the hearts of children with lots of happiness and joy. They are experiencing and trying to bring their talents out to show what they are in the sports and also in every other field of their life. The teachers and others who have took part in this event too experienced that sense of joy and enthusiasm in games and sports.

It’s a great pleasure that some of the NSS volunteers have also participated in 400m relay. They mingled with the children encouraged them to play and motivated them to do much better in the events. They interacted with them and learned a lot from their little experiences.

Here is what we heard from senior teacher of the school. It is a great pleasure that NSS volunteers from IIT participating in school games and reminding that they too a part of what we are doing.

We hope and expect a lot more events not only in sports but in education, cultural and science will take place to make school a home where we can learn , enjoy and attain highest moral perfection.
We hope we as NSS volunteers will bring the necessary changes in doing so. As Mother Teresa said “what we do is a drop in an ocean but, that ocean is not there without those drops.”

Science Month - Start of Science Day celebration:

It’s idea is to celebrate February as a science month on the eve NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY on February 28.  It is to remember the contributions of C.V.RAMAN in the field of science who had brought NOBEL PRIZE to the country and also various scientists who had worked in the field of science to make mankind more proud.

NSS team started work in this direction to conduct a science fair and other creative competitions during this month  on science. So a month long events are going to take place to make students think about science and to emerge as future scientists. The volunteers are a part of technical institute trying to make science fair as much innovative as possible and much more useful to the children and village community.

We , with the help of principal and other senior teachers of the school have conducted a          CREATIVE ART COMPETITION on 9th Feb 2013. Topics given to the students were NATURE for juniors and ENVIROMENTAL POLLUTION  for seniors. Students of all classes have enthusiastically participated in the art competition using their all skills and ideas given their best in the competition.

The program officer  and NSS volunteers have encouraged the students to put their best efforts. It was really a great experience for all those who participated in the competition.

We also have a small exhibition in the school premises itself where the biographies and achievements of scientists were placed. Students were asked to come and see them and the volunteers explained contribution of these scientists. They learnt about FARDAY, J.C.BOSE, C.V.RAMAN, ARYABHATTA, NEWTON, EINSTEIN etc.

The Principal of the school congratulated the volunteers for their efforts, the way they were getting involved in school and for organising events and competitions enthusiastically. He had given the prizes to some of the volunteers who had participated in the relay held in the SPORTS MEET  of that school.

The science fair is going to held on march 9 2013 and the ground work for it has been started. we hope it will be successful.

The volunteers have learned a lot themselves working in this science month getting connected with academics and ground reality. They emerged their technical skills to help community and students better in marching towards excellence.
