Run for Unity at IIT Kharagpur

Rashtriya Ekata Diwas is organized with great enthusiasm at IIT Kharagpur in celebrating birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel. Several programs including two blood donation camps are organized in the campus. This post captures the 'Run for Unity' event that was organized on 31-10-2014 evening. There was huge participation from faculty, staff and student members of the campus community. Some of the NSS faculty played active role in the event and many NSS students participated in the run. The run started from Technology Students Gymkhana and was concluded there. In this post, there are five videos in this post that depicts various stages of this tun. This is followed by few pictures.

We could get into conversation with some of the girl students at the end. They are enrolled in various PhD programs and not only completed the entire track of this 'Run for Unity' but was full of enthusiasm and did not look at all tired during the closing. Incidentally, NSS program at IIT Kharagpur has only UG 1st and 2nd year students enrolled in it. We salute the spirit of senior students like these and through them all those who stand for unity and integrity of the country, and come forward for a cause.
