Annual Camp 2012 : Part III
This is the third in series describing activities taken up by campers of NSS, IIT Kharagpur in just concluded annual camp. Previous posts on the camp can be found here (Link1, Link2). In this series, we highlight the physical work undertaken by the young IITians. There are four set of pictures.
The first set of pictures shows the bush cleaning job the executives of an Ashram who run an orphanage, school, requested us to do. The first picture shows what it was before cleaning and the subsequent pictures shows NSS volunteers at work with Ashram children watching what IIT elders are doing.
The third set of pictures of this series shows an activity which campers took up themselves, without being asked by local population. This was filling-up of potholes of only metal road going through the village and was built on Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) scheme.
The fourth set of pictures of this series shows bush cleaning job taken up in other stretches of the Ashram mentioned before. This was continuation of previous work and was done on the final day of the camp.

The second set of pictures in this series describes what village panchayet of Gangadharpur village and Gaighata village wanted from the campers. This is rebuilding of existing village road.
