Spring 2014-2015 Round-up: Part III
This is in continuation of previous two posts (Part I Link and Part II Link). In this Part III, we go back to our school based activities where we have arranged about 50 scholarships for students of village / slum schools, conducted various competitions like drawing, sports and distributed prizes etc. In addition, we also provided educational material and furniture for better experience in village school environment.
This is the concluding post of the three part series in welcoming freshers who join IIT Kharagpur in the new academic session. This series shows the range of activities NSS, IIT Kharagpur took up in previous semester. There are other previously published posts in this blog where certain activities can be found in greater details.
We reiterate, while NSS team, in some sense, provides the last mile connectivity to our neighbourhood villages and slums, it is the collective goodwill of larger IIT Kharagpur community that get channelized through us. We are indebted to them as well as local people for providing us this opportunity to serve, and make us more responsible for what we do to ourselves and the nation. As fresh bloods get infused in the team, we remind ourselves the NSS motto, "Not Me, But You."
